The Wehrpass shows overall normal signs of wear. It's solid and complete with all pages. It belonged to Robert Obermaier who was drafted into Luftwaffe Baukompanie 4/7. In early may 1940 he switched to the 1.Kompanie Luftwaffe Bau Bataillon 6/VII and was put into action on the German west border France. He later switched from the 1.Kompanie to the Stab.Kompanie of the bataillon and later in the same year served in the Stab Luftwaffe Bau Bataillon 8/VII. With this bataillon he was stationed in Germany, but later also in France.
From late June 1941 until 12.09.1943 Robert served with the Stab./Leichte Flak Abteilung 733. This unit was stationed in Berlin-Ost the entire war. Robert made a couple of promotions during his career. In May 1940 he was promoted Gefreiten, in July 1940 Unteroffizier, in Juni 1941 Regierungs Inspektor (beamte) and on the 3rd of May Oberzahlmeister der Reserve.
Robert was awarded the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2.Klasse mit Schwerten and in May 1945 the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 1.Klasse mit Schwerten.
