The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served at the Luftnachrichtenstelle Einsatzhafen Fliegerhorst Achmer. This was the communication section of the HQ of the Fliegerhorst Achmer. It started of as a bomber base and was home to Kampfgeschwader 2, but from 1943 on it became a fighter base housing different units.
From April 1945 on the British RAF began using the airfield.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
