The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the Luftnachrichten Kompanie motorisiert Fliegerhorst Landsberg. This was a communication unit of the HQ of the Fliegerhorst Landsberg.
Fliegerhorst Landsberg was the home for different units. Amongst them was Kampfgeschwader 153, Kampfgeschwader 51, Jagdgeschwader 2, Aufklärungsgruppe (F) 33 and some more.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
