The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the Luftnachrichten Kompanie Leithorst Goslar. This was a communication unit of the HQ of the Fliegerhorst Goslar. 'Leithorst' means that this was the controlling airfield in the region. Other airfields in the same region fell under the Leit(flieger)horst.
