The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served at the Luftnachrichtenkompanie Fliegerhorst Kommandantur Jüterborg. This was a communication unit of the HQ of the Fliegerhorst Jüterborg.
This was the base of different Luftwaffe units such as Jagdgeschwader 132 'Richthofen', Lehrgeschwaders 2, Jagdgeschwader 141, Jagdgeschwader 300 and others
The 'A' on the back of both sides of the tag on the back stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
