Very nice edelstahl (inox) Leichte Flak Ersatz Abteilung 98 erkennungsmarke in used, but good condition.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in one of the batteries of the Leichte Flak Ersatz Abteilung 98. The batterie number was not pressed on the tag. The abteilung was formed in August 1939 with 4 batteries as Flak Ersatz Abteilung 98. In 1941 it was converted in to Leichte Flak Ersatz Abteilung 98 moved to Narvik in April of that year. It remained the entire war in Kassel. In Ocotber 1942 the abteilung was disbanned and used to form Leichte Flak Abteilung 72(mot). It operated in Finland and Norway untill it moved back to Germany (Halbe) in 1945.
