The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It's broken, but complete and both parts are solid. It belonged to a soldier who served within the Landesschützen Zug der Luftwaffe 342 XI. There is not a lot information about this unit, however we found out that from December 1942 - February 1943 this unit operated at an airfield in Stalingrad with the Ground defence and security task.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
