Nice Landesschützen related tag in used, but good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the Landesschützen Kompanie Gütersloh. There is little information on this unit, however we found out that there was a Landesschützen Zug der Luftwaffe 399/VI based in Gütersloh in the autumn of 1941 and had the task to guard the Airfield of Gütersloh. So it could well be a tag of this unit.
Landesschützen Zug der Luftwaffe 399/VI operated also on the airfield of Bitolj (Yugoslavia) in 1944 and the Agram (Zagred) airfield in early 1945.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
