Very nice and uncommon Landesschützen related tag in used, but excellent condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the Landesschützen Zug (der Luftwaffe) 128/VI Flugplatz Kommando Handorf. Landesschützen units that where based at airfield had the task to guard the base. Flugplatz/Fliegerhorst Handorf was the home of Kampfgeschwader 27 'Boelcke', Kampfgeschwader 54 'Totenkopf' and Kampfgeschwader 1 'Hindenburg'.
In late November 1944 until the end of the war the Messerschmitt Me262 was also stationed at Handorf with Sonderkommandos Braunegg.
