The document shows overall signs of wear. It was once framed. The medal was awarded to Obergefreiten Wilhelm Spreng who served within the 2.Flughafen Betriebskompanie Kampfgeschwader 53 'Legion Condor'. It was awarded on the 25 of September 1939. Since Kampfgeschwader 53 was formed from Kampfgeschwader 355, which was formed in April 1937 and participated in the Anschluss, Wilhelm must have served within this unit.
It's nicely marked by the company that framed the document.
