The document shows overall signs of wear. The medal was awarded to Oberschützen Paul Könnecke who served in the 3.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 93. This regiment was formed in mid October 1937 and was part ofthe 13.Infanterie-Division. The medal was awarded on the 20th of Oktober 1938.
The document is signed by Oberst Dr. Ing. Karl Ritter von Weber who later became a Generalmajor and was killed in action on the 20th of July 1941 in the area of Smolensk.
