The card shows signs of wear. The card says Alois Schiessl died during a forest fight near Podwysokoje, Ukrain on the 6th of August 1941. According to the Volksbund he is burried on the military cemetery in Kirowograd - Sammelfriedhof in an unknown grave. On the death notice it says that Alois served within a Gebirgsjager Regiment which is incorrect since he served within Infanterie Regiment 207. Errors like these are not uncommon on period death notice.
