Very nice zinc Wehrmacht Panzerjäger Kompanie related tag in used, but excellent condition.
The tag or 'Erkenungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the Infanterie Panzerjäger Kompanie Infanterie Ersatz Regiment 18. This regiment was formed in late August 1939 and was connected to the 18.Infanterie-Division. In October 1942 was renamend into Reserve Infanterie Regiment 18 and became part of the 158.Infanterie-Division. With this division the regiment moved, in arly 1943, to La Rochelle (Atlantic coast). In July 1944 the regiment was used to form Grenadier Regiment 223 and became part of the 16.Infanterie-Division 'Der Windhund'.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
