Beautiful Pre war (1938!) Officers Infanterie Visor Cap or 'Schirmmütze'.
The overall condition of the Schirmmütze is used but good. It has a lovely 'crusher style' shape. The fabric on the outside has some minor moth holes, but this is absolutely not disturbing. It comes with the officer's chin strap, the 2 chinstrap buttons (replaced at one point) and the Wehrmacht officer's (bullion) eagle, wreath and cockade.
The leather sweatband on the inside is completely present and in good and solid condition. Its maker marked by 'Wilhelm Wethekam' from 'Dresden' and dated (twice) with the date of production '1938'. The sweatdiamand is also presents and size marked '58,5'.
Visor caps dated this early, are not easy to find!
