The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the InfanterieGeschütz Kompanie Infanterie Ersatz Regiment 45. This regiment was part of the 45.Infanterie-Division.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stand for the soldier's bloodtype.
Every infanterie regiment had a Geschütz-Kompanie which was the 13th companie. This company was equipped with multiple 7,5cm leichte I.G.18L and 2x schweres 15cm I.G. 33L.
