Very nice aluminium Infanterie Geschutz Ersatz Kompanie 215 tag in used, but excellent condition.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. Infanterie Ersatz Regiment 215 was formed in the August of 1939 in Neckarsulm. From the beginning it trained and supplied soldiers for units that where part of the 215.Infanterie-Division. The Infanterie Geschütz kompanie was a kompanie within the ersatz regiment.
The 'AB' on both parts of the tag stands for the bloodtype of the soldier.
Every Infanterie regiment had a Geschütz Kompanie. This was the 13.Kompanie. This kompanie was equipped with multiple 7,5cm leichtes I.G.18L and 2x 15cm schweres I.G. 33L.
