Very nice aluminium II.Abteilung Artillerie Regiment 195 dog tag in used, but good condition.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 'II.Abteilung Artillerie Regiment 195'. It was formed in September 1939 and equipped with captured Tjech material. It fell under the 95.Infanterie-Division. I saw its first action during the invasion of France (Maginot-linie) in 1940. From August 1940 till Februari 1941 the division and its units was on leave. In May 1941 it was moved east and fought in Ukrain. It fought in areas like Brjansk, Kursk, Kiew, Rshew, Bobruisk and Witebsk.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldiers bloodtype.
