The documents shows overall signs of wear. The Verwundetenabzeichen was awarded on 8th of August 1943 to Otto who served in 1.Kompanie Grenadier Regiment 442. This regiment was formed in 1940 as Infanterie Regiment 442 and was part of the 168.Infanterie-Division. It saw combat on the eastern front in areas like Kiev, Belgorod, Charkow, Donbogen and Donbogen. In late 1943 the division was used to reinforce the 4.Panzer-Armee.
On the right side where it is folded there is a small tear.
The ISA was awarded to Otto who, by then served within the 3.Kompanie Grenadier Regiment 442.
The medal was awarded on the 3.12.1943.
