A very nice Wehrmacht Medical/DRK Canteen with an hard to find brown leather carrying strap.

The set is in used but good condition. The leather straps show some surface cracks but are supple and solid (handle with care as always).
The felt cover is clear of damage and the canteen and cup are in very good condition.
The carrying strap is nicely marked 'Sanitätslager Babelsberg' on the inside. The cup, the canteen, the canteen lid, the canteen lid strap and the felt cover are all marked with the same maker 'H.R.E.' ('Heinrich Ritter' from 'Esslingen'. Every piece is also marked with with the year of production '1939'.
1 Liter Medical canteens with straps this early and fully matching are not easy to find.
