Due to shortage of material after the war, a lot of war equipment (so called 'Kriegsschrott') was reissued into material for daily use. This lower part of a German gasmask filter measures approx. 10,5cms in diameter and is 6cms in height. The marking of the filter can still be seen peaking through the enamel.
