Very nice portrait of General der Artillerie Walter von Reichenau in very good condition.
The photo shows overall normal signs of storage wear. It's complete with paper caption on the back. Walter Karl Ernst August von Reichenau was the commander of the 10.Armee during the invasion of Poland. For this he earned the Ritterkreuz on the 30th of September 1939. During the invaison of Belgium he was the commander of the 6.Armee and on the 19th of July he was promoted to Generaloberst. And also during operation Barbarossa he commanded the 6.Armee.
Walter died on the 17th of January 1942 due to a stroke he got on the 14th of January. Hitler lost one of his favorite Generals.
