The grouping shows overall signs of wear. Some a bit more then others. The grouping belongs to a Gebirgsjäger named Lorenz Grötzinger who served in the 11.Kompanie Gebirgsjäger Regiment 100. Lorenz was made prisoner of war in Mai 1943 in Tunisia. At that time he served in the 2.Gebirgsjäger-Kompanie Panzergrenadier Regiment Afrika. This regiment was formed in October 1942 from the former Sonderverband 288.
The groupins consist out;
- Reichsarbeitsdienst service award document.
- 13.März 1938 Medaille award document. Issued on the 8th of November 1938.
- 1.Oktober 1938 mit Spange award document. Issued on the 15th of August 1939.
- Prisoner Basic personnel record with 2 portraits of Lorenz and his fingerprints. Dated 26.08.1943 POW Camp McLean in Texas.
- Certificate of Discharge dated 28.05.1947
- Deutsche Dienststelle (WASt) document showing the units he served in and his ranks achieved.
- American check for Lorenz of 77USD 65 Cents.
- Death notices of Gebirgsjägers (one large duo and 9pcs on a A4 paper) . Probably of comrades Lorenz knew. Couple of them are from his company. Also a death notice of a Heeresbergführer.
