Death notice card of Unteroffizier Anton Jäger who died during combat in the area of Winjagolowa (Russia).
The card shows overall normal signs of wear. According the notice Anton died on the 12 April 1942 West of Winjagolowa. Anton served within the 3.Kompanie Gebirgsjager Regiment 100. With this regiment he saw combat during the invasion of France and later Greece, Crete and Russia. During his military service Anton earned the Eisernes Kreuz 2.Klasse & 1.Klasse, Infanterie Sturmabzeichen and Verwundetenabzeichen.
