The Waffenrock shows only slightly signs of wear. Its complete with early breast eagle, shoulder-straps, collar tabs, Sanitätsunterpersonal arm patch, Edelweiss and all of it's buttons. On the inside the lining is intact and the collar is complete with buttons and the small fastener hooks. It's beautiful unit marked '7.G.J.R.137', size marked (see the last photo for the sizes in cms) and depot marked 'M37 (Münich 1937)' on the left inside.
The early straps tell us that it belonged to a soldier of 'Gebirgs-Sanitäts-Abteilung 42' (hence the blue, chain-stitched, embroidered '42' and Medical Cornflower-Blue ('Kornblumenblau') waffenfarben piping on the edges. This abteilung was attached to the '7.Kompanie Gebirgsjäger Regiment 137' which fell under the '2. Gebirgsdivision'
Overall a very nice and very hard to find Medical Gebirgsjäger Waffenrock.
