Death notice card of Unteroffizier und Geschutzfuhrer Max Kastner who died during combat in Russia.
The card shows overall normal signs of wear. According the notice Max died on the 31st of May 1942. He served in the 2.Batterie Gebirgs Artillerie Regiment 95 at the time he died. This regiment was formed in November 1940 and was part of the 5.Gebirgs-Division. Before his service in Regiment 95 Max served in the I.Abteilung Gebirgs-Artillerie Regiment 79 and was a veteran of the invasion of Poland, France, Greece and Crete. According to the information on the card Max died in a Feldlazarett due to a servere wound to one of this thighs.
Max was decorated with the EK2.
