Very nice field made Summer Field Blouse or 'Sommer Feldbluse' for an Gebirgs-Artillerie Oberleutnant in used, but very good condition.
The tunic shows overall signs of wear, but is still in very good condition. It Has a lovely 'been there' patina. It's complete with all buttons and all the insignia (which are hand applied). It has loops for medals on the left breast pocket and loops for a large ribbon bar above the left breast pocket. In the inside we see that the tunic has an field-grey wool lining from the chest up. The tunic is size marked, although partially visible.
The feldbluse portrays an officer who served within the Gebirgs-Artillerie-Regiment 112'. This regiment was formed in August 1938 and was part of the 3.Gebirgs-Division. With this division it saw combat in Poland, Norway (Narvik), Finnland, Russia and Slowakia. The bataillon has a very rich history!
This Feldbluse is published in the book ‘The German Army, Mountain Soldier of World War II’ (Juli 2009), by 'W.Krawczyk & B.Jansen', page 38-39.
