Details

The overall condition of this set is very good. The alluminium cup is in mint condition and the feltcover has only one tiny surface moth hole. The leather carrying strap is present, supple and solid. The leather harnes straps are also supple but have 3 surface cracks (see pictures). The leather is still attached and the cracks are not through and through, but but please proceed with caution when removing the cup from the flask. We do not recommend removing the flask from its leather harness due to 2 of these surface cracks.

The cup, the leather canteen harnas straps, the canteen, the canteen lid, the feltcover, the belt supper strap and the leather carrying strap are all marked with the same maker code 'W.A.L', which indicates the maker is 'Westfalische Aluminium Industrie, Junger & Co' from 'Lüdenscheid'. Every piece is also marked with with the year of production '1939'.

Overall a very nice matching Wehrmacht medical canteen.
