Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the Flugabwehr Ersatz Motorisiert Kompanie 46.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. The bataillon was formed in August 1939 in Paderborn as Fla.Ersatz Kompanie 46 out of the Panzerjager Kompanien 26 and 86. In Ocotber 1942 it became Flugabwehr Ersatz Bataillon 52 and fell under Division.176. In September 1944 the division was mobilized and in October it was part of the 176.Infanterie-Division. It was stationed in the Roer area near the Dutch border.
