Nice Luftwaffe Fliegerhorst related tag in used, but good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It's broken, but complete. It belonged to a soldier who served at the Fliegerhorst Kommandantur Prenzlau. This was the HQ of the Fliegerhorst Prenzlau. This airfield was build in 1933 and was one of the first Luftwaffe airfields. It was home to the 1./Nahaufklärungs-Gruppe 8, Aufklärungsgruppe 121, IV./Jagdgeschwader 3 and a couple of ground units. It played and important role during the invasion of Poland.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
