Death notice card of Stabsgefreiten Karl Erlacher who died during the Ardennes Offensive.
The card shows overall normal signs of wear (small damage in the portrait). According the notice Stefan died on the 23th of December 1944 in Neuerburg in the Eiffel area. He served in the 4.Batterie Flak Regiment 19 (gem.motorisiert) at the time he died. This regiment was formed in November 1938. The regiment saw action in Denmark, Calais, Balkans and Southern Russia. In November 1944 the regiment moved from the eastern front to Luftgau XIV and in December it became part of the 19.Flak-Brigade and saw action during the Battle of the Bulge.
Karl was decorated with the EK2 and Erdkampfabzeichen and Verwundetenabzeichen.
