The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted/served in a batterie in Flak Ersatz Abteilung 97. This unit was formed in late August 1939 in Friedrichshafen. In 1941 it was renamed into leichte Flak Ersatz Abteilung 97. It operated the entire war in Friedrichshafen.
