Nice aluminium Wehrmacht Flugabwehr related tag in used condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It's solid. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the Flugabwehr Ersatz Kompanie 47. This unit was formed in late August 1939 in Grafenrheinfeld. It trained and supplied soldiers for Fla-Bataillon 47. This bataillon operated in Polen during the 1939 invasion. During the invasion of France it was part of the 2.Panzerarmee. After the Westfeldzug a part of the bataillon stayed in France while another part was put into action during the Balkanfeldzug. In the summer of 1942 the bataillon was disbanned and each kompanie absorbed within another unit such as an Infanterie Regiment, Panzerjager Abteilung or Gebirgs Panzerjager Abteilung.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
