The photograph shows overall normal signs of wear. It's complete with paper caption on the back. It shows Oberst von Aulock during his own oakleafs award ceremony that took place in St.Malo, France. He is surrounded by Fallschirmjägers/LW.Feld-Division. Note the jumpsmocks they are wearing.
For his actions during the Battle of Saint Malo von Aulock earned the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub which was issued on the 17th of August 1944.
This photograph was released 2 days later on the 19th of August 1944. The size of the photo is 13cms*18cms.
