Festungs Inf. Btl.1010 Award Document Grouping

All 6 documents show overall signs of wear, but all are solid. They were awarded to Oberfeldwebel Wilhelm Kage. Wilhelm served in the 3.Kompanie Festungs Infanterie Bataillon 1010 in the last stages of the war. This regiment was formed in November 1943 in Hamburg and was transported shortly after to the Greek island of Naxos. In August 1944 the bataillon operated in the area of Athens and later moved to Bosnia were it became part of the 117.Jäger-Division in January 1945. 
In March 1945 the bataillon was used to form the II.Bataillon Jäger Regiment 737 (Wilhelm served in the 10.Kompanie) which was also part of the 117.Jäger-Division. This division operated in the Oberdonau at the end of the war. 
The grouping consist out of;

• Führungszeugnis (Certificate of good conduct ) from when Wilhelm served in the 7.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 94. Dated Oktober 1937.
• Verpflichtungsschein (Certificate of commitment) for 10 years of military service within the Wehrmacht. By then Wilhelm was a Unteroffizier serving in the 5.schwere Kompanie Wehrkreis Unterfuhrungs Lehrgang X. Signed on the 28th of July 1943. 
• Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2.Klasse award document issued on the 1st of September 1944. Signed by General der Flieger un Kommandeur General des LXVIII Armeekorps Hellmuth Felmy.
• Eisernes Kreuz 1.Klasse award document issued on the 30th of January 1945. Signed by Generalleutnant und Kommandeur der 117.Jäger-Division August Wittmann. Ritterkreuzträger (juni !941), Deutsches Kreuz in Gold (August 1944), Heeresbergführer Abzeichen. 
• Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber award document issued on the 4th of Mai 1945! Signed by the Major und Bataillon Kommandeur II./Jäger-Regiment 737.
• Certificate of Discharge document dated 28th of March 1947.
