The tag shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the Feldrekrutenkompanie Infanterie Regiment 644. This regiment was formed in March 1940 in Poland from the staff of Feldkommandantur 615 and Landesschützen-Bataillonen III./VII, XVII./V and VII./V. These units mainly constisted out of older men and where used for security purposes. From June - August 1940 the regiment was part of the Militär-Befehlshaber Belgien-Nordfrankreich.
The III.Bataillon of regiment 644 was disbanned in late August 1940. I and II.Bataillon of regiment 644 was used to form the Heimatwach-Bataillone which where used for guarding prison camps. In Janurai 1941 the I.Bataillon of regiment 644 was used to form Landesschützen-Bataillone 564.
The 'Blgr.0' on both sides of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype (Blutgruppe).
Interesting and uncommon tag.
