The overall condition of the document is good. The Verwundetenabzeichen was awarded to Reiter Edmund Fischer who served in the Divsions Füsilier Bataillon 121. This bataillon started 1940 off as Schnelle Abteilung 121 and was part of the 121-Infanterie-Division. In 1943 it was renamed/formed into the Füsilier Bataillon 121. It fought the entire war, untill the surrender to the Russian, on the eastern front in areas like Wolchow, Leningrad and Kurland. Edmund was awarded the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz on the 10th of October 1944 for his wound he got on the 16th of September 1944. The document is signed by Oberstabartz und Chefartz of the Reserve Lazarett based in Preussen Holland.
