Death notice of Franz Hofbauer who died during combat in Russia in early 1943.

The card shows overall normal signs of wear. In the middle top and bottom there is a small tear, but everything is solid. Franz served in the SS-Standarte 'Deutschland' as an Unterscharführer. He earned at least the Verwundetenabzeichen, EKII and the 1.Oktober 1938 Medaille.
According to the Volksbund Franz has not been transferred yet to a Volksbund military cemetery, but is burried on the graveyard somewhere in Konstantinowka/Donezk - Ukraine.
