The card shows overall normal signs of storage wear. According to the card Franz died on the 2nd of October 1942 in the area of Stalingrad. He was an Unteroffizier serving in the Beobachtungs Batterie (Panzer) 16. This unit was part of the Panzer Artillerie Regiment 16 and operated under the 16.Panzer-Division. Franz was (at least) wearer of the Ostmedaille and EKII.
