Excellent Obergefreiter Pionier Model 36 field blouse or 'Modell 36 Feldbluse' in near mint condition.
This outside of the tunic is in excellent condition. It's clear of damage and shows hardly any wear.
The tunic comes with it's breast eagle, a beautiful bullion embroidered Steuermann-Abzeichen (worn by those trained to pilot a (small) assault boat on inland waters) and obergefreiter rank patch. In our opinion the Steuermann abzeichen and obergefreiter patch are period (hand) applied. The pionier black collar tabs are also present and period applied.
The tunic comes with 2 beautiful rare early Pionier shoulder-straps. The black and white chain-stitched, embroidered 'L' on the straps in combination with the Obergefreiter rank patch on the left arm indicates the tunic belonged to an Obergefreiter of a 'Pionier-Lehr-Bataillon'.
The inside is also in very good condition and comes with all it's buttons and 2 period attached uniform belt support hooks. The pouch for the bandage packages on the right inside was period removed at a certain point to sligthly shorten the tunic (approx. 1cm).
It's size marked, maker marked 'Knagge & Peitz - München Uniformfabrik', depot marked 'M' (München) and dated '41' (1941).
Not an easy to find model, especially in this condition!
