The set shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the Bau Pionier Ersatz & Ausbildungs Bataillon 5. This bataillon was formed in late August 1939 as Bau Ersatz Bataillon 5. The home was of the bataillon was the Adolf Hitler Kaserne in Schwäbisch Gmünd. It trained and supplied solders for a lot of different Bau/Pionier related units. In August 1943 the unit was renamed into Bau Pionier Ersatz & Ausbildungs Bataillon 5.
The tag is attached to a leather wallet. The leather is supple and solid. The zip is marked 'Ri-Ri' and is in working condition.
