Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the Kolonne Bau-Bataillon 132.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the Kolonne Bau Bataillon 132 was formed from RAD members in August 1939 and consisted out of the Stab, 4 companies and a Kolonne. The bataillon saw its first action during the invasion of Poland in September 1939 as part of the 14.Armee. After that it moved to the West and saw combat during the invasion of France as part of the 12.Armee.
At the beginning of the invasion of Russia it was part of the 16.Armee and in August 1943 it was renamed into Bau Pionier Bataillon 132.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
Kolonne marked tags are not easy to find.
