The exterior of this tunic is in used but good condition. It has some small (mouse) damage on the French cuffs, but this is not really distracting to the eye (please see the photos). The tunic is complete with a nice high quality officer's bullion breast eagle, all its buttons, two silver wire embroidered officer collar tabs and shoulder-boards with the Medical Cornflower-Blue 'Komblumenblau' waffenfarbe piping on the edges (the medical aluminum Asklepian symbols on the boards are missing, however easy to add).

The same Cornflower-Blue colored piping is applied in the front lower edge of the collar, the upper edge of the cuffs and along the edge of the left front panel of the tunic.

Furthermore, the feldbluse has a set of period-applied loops for a ribbon bar above the left breast pocket and it once had an EK1 ribbon on the second buttonhole from the top (also easy to add).

The lining of this felbluse is intact and complete with internal dagger hanger (marked 'DRGM' and 'Assmann') and both waist straps.

The uniform still contains its tailor's label indicating it was made by 'Uniformfabrik Traugott Rahne' in 'Hannover', an award-winning tailor who received gold medals for  German craftsmanship in 1933 and 1938. The name label on the left inside pocket indicates that the feldbluse was made on 'July 29, 1941' and was owned by 'Doctor (Dr.) Liefländer', an 'Assistenzarzt' in the German Army.

The amazing thing about this tunic is that it contained a plastic sleeve with 12 photos of Doctor Liefländer in its left inside pocket. On a few of them he is wearing this exact tunic. 1 of them was taken in photo studio 'Kurt Julius'  which was also located in 'Hannover', only  a few streets away from the tailor shop! You can find a lot of information on the web of both the tailor and the photo studio. The rest of the pictures include Dr. Liefländer in his summer uniform, with his schirmmutze, wearing his helmet and in a few pictures probably with his father and child.

Overall a beautiful and very hard to find piece of history!

For the sizes in cms, please see the last photo.
