Very nice Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2.Klasse award document in good condition.
The document shows overall normal signs of wear. It has no damages. The KVKII was awarded to Wachtmeister Koch who served in the 3.Batterie Artillerie Regiment 661 which was part of the 114.Jäger-Division when he got the award on the 20th of April 1944.
Artillerie Regiment 661 was formed in April 1943 in Croatia from Artillerie Abteilung 661. It was part of the 114.Jäger-Division. The I.Abteilung (1.-3.Batterie) of the regiment operated in the area of Sibenik, Croatia. In February 1944 the regiment moved to Italy. In June 1944 the I.Abteilung operated in Campo di Giove. It operated in Italy until the end of the war and surrenderred to the Americans.
