Nice Set of 2 award documents of Wachtmeister, later Leutnant, Wilhelm Cramm.
Both documents shows overall normal signs of wear. It consist out of a Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz (awarded on 9 April 1942) and a Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber (awarded on 27 Juli 1942) document. The VWA in black was awarded when Wilhelm was a Wachtmeister in the 8.Kompanie of the regiment and the VWA in silver was awarded to Wilhelm, now a Leutnant der Reserve and serving in the 5.Kompanie of the regiment.
Artillerie Regiment 255 was formed in August 1939 and was part of the 255.Infanterie-Division. It saw action in May 1940 during the invasion of the Netherlands and participated in the 2nd fase of the invasion of France. From June 1941 it fought on the eastern front in areas like Brest-Litowsk,Gomel,Smolensk,Gshatsk,Charkow and Kiev.
The VWA in silver has been signed by Oberstleutnant und Kommandeur Artillerie Regiment 255 Dr.Werner Lange.
