Nice and rare ceramic Olympics presentation plaque.
The plaque shows normal signs of use and is clear of damage. These plaques were issued (by Reichsminister Rust) to students of the 1936 Olympics who participated in the 'internationales sportstudentenlager' or 'international sports student camp', which opened its doors in Berlin (July 23, 1936) and was attended by 1,000 students from 34 different countries.
The plaque is nicely marked on the back by the artist 'Hans Defregger', dated '1933' and bearing the (black/blueish) logo (Scepter) of the producer: KPM. The plaque has a small hook on the back to hang it on the wall.
The diameter is approximately 16.5 cm.
Great piece of history.
