About EA-Militaria

Hello and welcome to our website!

We are 2 brothers (Erwin and Bas) from the Netherlands and the founders of EA-Militaria. Our story and passion in to the ‘militaria collecting world’ goes way back.

The roots of one side of our family lies in the city of Arnhem where the famous ‘Battle of Arnhem’ as part of ‘Operation Market Garden’ took place. Both our grandparents and their families survived this battle as residents of the city. From an early age, our family told us many stories about Operation ‘Market Garden’ and the war in general and took us to various museums, war memorials and battlefields in and around Arnhem. This is where our interest and curiosity about World War II began.

Around age 12, we started visiting more and more different battlefields/museums in Europe with our father, and around age 18, our new hobby of ‘metal detecting’ was a fact. As soon as we unearthed our first relics, the collecting addiction began. As many of you collectors know: when you start collecting historical artifacts, you build a passion that grows and never goes away. We started buying books and studying the objects we found in the ground and saw in various museums we visited. As we obtained more and more objects, we began to sell/exchange and realized that this was something where our passion lay. Soon after, we began attending military fairs to purchase items for our own collections and to resell.

Around 2013 Erwin decided to participate (as a dealer) in a militaria fair for the first time under the name 'EA-Militaria' or ‘Erwin Alofs Militaria’. 
I (Bas) soon joined his stand and from 2016 we joined forces, kept the name (as Erwin had built a good reputation by now) and started our website called ‘EA-Militaria’. The dream of both of us came true when we decided to make our beloved hobby and passion our full-time job starting in 2019.

With now +-25 years of collecting experience, thousands of deals with collectors, researchers and museums all over the world, we have built a trustworthy reputation of which we are more than proud :-)

It is very important for us to mention (as you also saw in the disclaimer when entering our website): we only sell products with historical value (thus original!) and do not, in any case, associate or have association with National Socialism, the Third Reich Period, Political Parties and /or (military) organizations.
