The document shows overall normal signs of wear. Folded in the middle. The Infanterie Assault Badge in silver was awarded on 17.Januari 1942. Peter served in 9.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 439. This regiment was formed in Oktober 1940 and was part of the 134.Infanterie-Division. This division saw the entire war combat on the eastern front. In areas like Bobruisk, Kiev, Orel, Gomel and Minsk. At the time the medal was awarded the unit was in the Orel area.
Nicely signed by the Oberstleutnant and Regiment Kommandeur Klein.
