Death notice card of Oberfeldwebel Hans weichseldorfer who died during combat in the area of Monte-Rotondo (Italy).

The card shows overall normal signs of wear. According the notice Hans died, after 7 years of service, on the 30 December 1943. Hans served within the 9.Kompanie Gebirgsjager Regiment 100. With this regiment he saw combat during the invasion of France and later Greece, Crete, Russia and Italy. During his military service Anton earned the Eisernes Kreuz 2.Klasse & 1.Klasse, Infanterie Sturmabzeichen, Bulgarenkreuzes mit Schwerten and Verwundetenabzeichen. Hans is burried at the Monte Cassino war cemetery Block 26 Grab 345.
