All the documents show overall normal signs of wear. No big damages. They were issued to Gefreiten Adolf Henkel who served in the 9.Kompanie Jäger Regiment 49. This regiment was formed in Decemeber 1941 from Infanterie Regiment 49. It was part of the 28.Jäger-Division. This division, and her units, operated on the Krim. This is were Adolf also unfortunately died of his wounds on the 24th of April 1942 in the Kriegs-Lazarett 4/610 Simferopol.
The grouping consist out of;

  • Eisernes Kreuz 2.Klasse award document issued on the 20th of April 1942. Signed by the Generalleutnant und Kommandeur der 28.Leichte-Division Johann Sinnhuber.
  • Heldentod document dated 24th of April 1942 on the Krim and signed by Paul-Vincenz Jansky.
  • Krimschild award document issued on the 30th of January 1943. Posthumously awarded.
