The Wehrpass shows overall normal signs of wear. Its complete with all pages and portrait photo. The upper staple is loose from the cover, but its still overall solid. It belonged to Karl who was first drafted in 1925 the 4.Schwadron Reiter Regiment 4. In 1935 he switched to 4.Schwadron Kavallerie Regiment 17 and after that in the 8.Batterie Artillerie Regiment 173. He learned to operate/shoot with different weapons like the K98,Leichte and Schwere MG, MG13 and Pistols. On the 1st of Februari Karl was promoted to Stabswachtmeister. With Artillerie Regiment 173 Karl participated in the invasion of Poland in September 1939. After Poland he saw combat during the invasion of Luxembourg on the 10th of May 1940 and then France.
